  1. SAE: "Flatproofed Tire Performance, Thermal Properties and Filling Pressures"

Problem: Breakdown in fridged temperatures

Extreme cold temperatures may cause flatproofing to freeze and disable vehicle.

Solution: Extensively test Arnco’s flatproofing for cold weather applications

The University of Alaska tested both SuperFlex and RePneu in temperatures of -40F / -40C. ASTM D2136 and ASTM D2137 brittleness tests were performed after allowing test product to sit for 16 hours with no signs of fracture or cracking.

ScientistTest product could easily be bent, twisted, and otherwise distorted, and showed no signs of degradation. Durometers tended to increase substantially, but reverted back to their original and designed parameters after they were allowed to warm, or were put into service.

Test Results have been published with the Society of Engineers (SAE)
