Arnco Creates Technical Advisory
Board
To Assist Tire Flatproofing Dealers
Arnco, a leading supplier of flatproofing products for off-road vehicles,
has established a Technical Advisory Board to help meet the expanding
technical and service needs of its growing network of Arnco Certified
Dealers.
“The mission of the new advisory board is to define and comprehend the
technical and processing needs of the tire flatproofing industry, and to
provide our dealers with the necessary materials, methods and programs to
meet those needs,” said Arnco President Larry Carapellotti in announcing
the group’s formation. He added that a strong emphasis is being placed on
increased productivity and profitability at the customer level.
The
Technical Advisory Board meets monthly at the company’s sales and
technical headquarters in Chattanooga, Tenn. Chairing the board is
technical specialist Bob Rose, and board members include Director of
Marketing Bob Giasson, Director of Sales Carolyn Harris and Arnco’s five
regional technical representatives – Chuck Capps, Keith Cartwright, Lance
Hanson, Jeff Little and Chuck Morrison.
“By
meeting on a regular basis and as a formal group, we are trying to elevate
the standards of product knowledge, preventive maintenance, certification,
record keeping and safety,” said Mr. Rose. “Unlike anyone else in the
industry, we try to maintain continuing contact with our dealers and try
to anticipate any problems they may have in maintaining or using our
pumping equipment and flatproofing materials,” he continued.
Mr.
Rose added that the advisory board has had a successful impact after only
one or two meetings. “We added several more questions and increased the
difficulty of our standard test for dealer certification. We also came up
with innovative solutions for dealers who operate our pumping equipment
with half-inch and three-quarter-inch piping.
“Most importantly, he continued, “we have had fewer equipment failures,
increased productivity, and improved equipment solutions since our first
meeting.”
Arnco is the world’s largest supplier of polyurethane fill for tires used
in construction, mining, ground support, material handling, aircraft round
support, and lawn and garden industries. Founded in 1971, the company is
headquartered in South Gate, Calif., and has processing facilities in
South Gate, Cleveland, Ohio and Manchester, England.
