‘SuperFlex® Rides
Like Air & Saves the Day’ for Off-Road Vehicles:
Arnco Launches
Flatproofing Ad Campaign
‘Ridding the
World of Evil Downtime…”
Arnco,
the world’s largest supplier of polyurethane flatproofing fill for
off-road tires, is about to “rid the world of evil downtime…” in launching
the first major advertising campaign in its 31-year history.
The
announcement was made by President Larry Carapellotti, who said Arnco has
been successful in building a solid market for its flatproofing materials
and is now ready to expand the market and help support its nationwide
network of Arnco Certified Dealers who sell and install Arnco’s extensive
line of fill products.
“Flat
tires are costing the off-road industry over $2 billion a year in repairs,
replacements and downtime, and the market for cost-saving flat-free tires
is growing at a dramatic pace,” added Mr. Carapellotti. “We want to take
advantage of the growing market, promote the quality of our products and
assert our leadership position. And, we want to do it in an exciting and
effective way,” he continued.
Arnco
will be running full-page four-color advertisements in several dealer and
equipment trade journals, and the campaign introduces an exciting new
“SuperFill” cartoon super hero who is shown “ridding the world of evil
downtime, securing safety, value and quality to all the equipment tires he
fills.”
Each
advertisement also will feature Arnco’s revolutionary SuperFlex® soft fill
material that “rides like air and saves the day.”
SuperFlex, designed for maximum deflection and an air-like ride, is one of
four different flatproofing formulations available from Arnco – the
others being RePneu® and RePneu II® for medium deflection and HeviDuty®
for minimum deflection under heavy loads. The company also offers a new
ReSeal™ Tire Sealant and Conditioner with durable Kevlar® fiber that
eliminates flat tires caused by slow leaks and instantly repairs punctures
up to Ľ” in diameter.
Arnco
polyurethane filled tires have become widely used in steel mills, scrap
yards, land fills, coal mines, factories, construction sites, aerial lift
equipment, original equipment vehicles or wherever the operating
environment is hazardous to conventional pneumatic tires. The firm also
is building a large OEM market, with such manufacturers as Bobcat,
Caterpillar, Gehl and John Deere equipping their vehicles with Arnco
filled tires.
“As a
result of our technology and aggressive proactive sales and marketing
approach, tire filling has developed worldwide usage and is now one of the
largest applications for polyurethane rubber,“ said Mr. Carapellotti, who
assumed full ownership of the company last year
Arnco
flatproofing is achieved by replacing the air in any pneumatic tire with a
patented liquid polyurethane that is pumped into the tire through the
valve stem. The result is a resilient, synthetic rubber core that will
never go flat. The superior physical properties of Arnco filled tires also
provide quality and tire performance very close to air inflation. In
addition to its flatproofing properties, Arnco’s unique polymers increase
tire life by operating at lower temperatures than alternative products.
Pneumatic tires filled with Arnco’s polymers also retain their ability to
absorb shock by distributing the load evenly throughout the tire carcass.
Based
in South Gate, Calif., Arnco maintains a training center, sales and
technical support staff in Chattanooga, Tenn., and has production
facilities in South Gate, Cleveland, Ohio, and Manchester, England.
